*Register NOW by sending an email or call Mike Rivera (703-946-5174) *We encourage players to attend all the tryouts for their age group. However, we do understand that conflicts may arise. Please contact us if you are unable to attend a tryout and we will make alternative arrangements with the team’s coach if necessary.

Virginia Hurricanes Have a Blast While Competing at the 2011 AAU National Championship Tournaments !!

This summer the 5th grade and 6th grade Virginia Hurricanes teams competed at the 2011 AAU Nationals Championship Tournaments in Hampton, Virginia and Kingsport Tennessee.

11U Hurricanes Win Silver Medal at Potomac Valley DQTs

Congratulations to the 11U Hurricanes for capturing the Silver Medal at the 2011 Potomac Valley AAU 11U Division II District Qualifying Tournament! The Hurricanes earned the right to participate in the 2011 AAU National Championship Tournament in July in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Virginia Hurricanes 10U Team Earns 6th Place Finish at AAU National Championship Girls Basketball Tournament in Orlando

The Virginia Hurricanes 10U girls team finished in 6th place at the 2010 AAU Division II National Championship Basketball Tournament in Orlando, Florida. Twenty-eight teams from across the country competed in this tournament over 5 days in early August. After advancing to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds of play, the Hurricanes clinched 6th place with an additional victory. The Hurricanes defeated teams from Georgia, New Hampshire, Arkansas, Kentucky and Virginia Beach. The team is coached by Michael Rivera and includes rising 6th graders from North and South Arlington and Fairfax County.
